Do you have a large home? Are you finding it difficult to cool your mansion or a large home with your AC unit, especially during the hot summer afternoons? Here are some great air conditioning tips for how to cool your mansion or large home. No longer do you have to sit in a hot room.

It can be really hard to cool a mansion or large home, but here at 4 Seasons, we’ve worked with helping cool and improve large homes and mansions. It can be tricky, but the rules for cooling a large home and a small home are too dissimilar. Here are some air conditioning tips on how to do just that.

Keep Those Blinds Shuttered

Shutter those shutters. That’s right; you want to keep your blinds shuttered, especially when it’s the hottest part of the day (like high noon). Keeping your blinds shuttered will reduce the heat coming in through the window and prevent the room from raising in temperature.

Blackout Curtains

Another great resource is blackout curtains, which can really keep a room’s temperature lower by preventing the rays of the sun from entering and warming the room.

Keep the Fan On

Keeping a fan on will help you feel cool, and also help with airflow. This in conjunction with the other tips in this blog post can help your large home or mansion feel cooler.

Mini Split

If you need the extra help for keeping your home cool, you can always opt-in for a mini-split or ductless AC unit for those rooms that are on the outer edges of your mansion. This is a ductless AC unit which will keep the room; this unit is placed in cool.

Smart Thermostat

A great option that you should consider is a smart thermostat. Because smart thermostats are efficient as well as economical, a smart thermostat will know the right temperature and adjust accordingly. A great unit that we offer here at 4 Seasons is the Lennox iComfort® S30 Smart Thermostat. This thermostat is state-of-the-art; it provides a collection of options. One of these options is smartphone sync, which allows you to control your HVAC system on your smartphone.
