Lake Nona AC Tips: How to Stay Cool This Summer and Save Money
Summer is here. But we know that we don’t have to tell you since you’re probably trying to avoid the outside at all costs. Even the beach can be too hot to enjoy sometimes. That’s why we’re sharing our Lake Nona AC tips to help you stay cool this summer and save money.
Yes, it can be hard to keep your home cool this summer while still saving money, but it can be done. You just want to make sure that you run an efficient AC system. Here’s how with our Lake Nona AC tips.
You’d be surprised how much heat comes pouring in through your open blinds and curtains. Windows are not insulated and let in not only nice sunlight but also the heat that comes with it. Closing your blinds or curtains will keep your house cooler, which helps your AC unit by not forcing it to run as much to keep the house cooler, and therefore you save money.
Use A Fan When You’re in Your Room
Using a fan will create the effect that it’s cooler (which in the end, to feel cooler is basically being cooler). Turns out, if you’re in a room with a fan on, you can raise the temperature on your thermostat by about 3 to 4 degrees, and it will feel cooler. This can save you some dough.
Set Your Thermostat Higher
Set that thermostat as high as you can. The rule is, AC is about comfort. If you can be comfortable at 75 degrees, set it there. There’s no reason to set it at 70 if you can be comfy at 75. This will save you money.
